Nashville – With the saddest regret, we announce the passing of Ahmad Rashad Shell, Sr., Saturday, April 24, 2021, in Nashville, TN, after a courageous health battle.

Preceded in death by mother, Patricia Butts-Price; brothers, AnDujar Shell, RaShaun Dubose, Milik Dubose; grandparents, Florence, and Harry Butts, Sr.; Fannie and Clarence Shell; uncles, Harry Butts, Jr., and Gregory Butts.

Survived by father, Rodney (Linda) Shell; brothers, Kenya (Michele) Shell, Joaquin Nolan, DeForest (Renada) Shell, Sr., Shawn Porter and sisters, Mina Shell, Altomese Nolan, Princess (Kim) Hunter, and children, Ahmijah (Nathan) Duke, Ahmad Shell, Jr., Keyshawn Flack, Keylan Flack, Ahmad Shell, III, Shamayia Shell, Ahmodre Shell, Ahmonie Shell and grandchildren, Kourtland Shell and Anah Tautolo.

The family will receive your condolences at the family home at 1127 Massachusetts Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37912.

The viewing will be held, Friday, April 30, at Jarnigan & Son Mortuary located at 2823 Martin Luther King Jr Ave, Knoxville, TN 37914.

Celebration of Ahmad’s life will take place graveside, Saturday, May 1, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Highland South Memorial Park, 9010 Simpson Road, Knoxville, TN 37920.
