In Memory of a Life Well Lived: Alton Lee Dave
Created to love and be loved. Created to shine with an inspiring, one-of-a-kind life.
To the Dave Family- Occasionally , I look at Knoxville’s obituaries and at this time I read Alton’s obituary. I grew up spending time with the Dave’s family ( really thought I was part of the family). I have many, many fond memories.
May your hearts feel the tender nearness of God, the caring love of friends, and the cherished comfort of memories.
Love,
Mary Allis Walker Burriss
Weeping may endure for the night, but joy commit in the morning. Look to the hills from which commit our help, our help commit from the Lord. Alton Lee has kept the faith, has fought a good fight, and has now gone on to receive his just reward. To be absent from the body is to be in the presence of the Lord God Almighty. Alton Lee is resting in the arms of the Lord, awaiting that great getting up. The day where all God’s children will come together in that great beautiful city and rejoice singing praises unto the most high. A place where we will all join hands and sing how I got over. A place where every day will be like Sunday and Sabbath will have no end. A place where there will be no more tears, no more sorrow, and no more pain. When we all get to heaven, oh what a time, oh what good time that will be. May God give the Dave family and friends the strength to endure. May the loving memories of Alton Lee be of great comfort. My prayers are with the family during this time in their lives.
Dave and I were Trustees together at Deliverance Christian Church in Canton Ohio. He was a wonderful person who had a great sense of humor! We laughed, argued, and at the end of the day, we were still friends! I stayed in touch through Facebook when he moved to Tennessee. He was truly a great person to know and to work with in and outside the church. God be the glory!
Our thoughts and prayers are with your family during your time of grief. We pray that God gives you all comfort and may his memories bring you joy and laughter to know Alton was a special part of your family. Continued Prayers
