ANNE ELIZABETH MCKISSICK
Anne Elizabeth McKissick, 81, transitioned to her Heavenly home, September 3, 2022. Anne was born to the union of James A. Henderson and Glenner Morgan, July 8, 1941 and was raised up in the “Happy Homes” Community. Anne graduated from Austin High School Class of 1958 and was Class Valedictorian. Anne worked for TVA at TVA Towers for over 20+ years before retiring. After retirement she managed the Family Fun Wash Laundromat, Magnolia Ave. for over 18 years. Anne was a long-time member and Mother of the Church at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by parents; son: Norman M. McKissick, Jr.; older brothers: Edgar, Jessie, Jack, and Milton Henderson.
Anne leaves to cherish her memory daughter: Tonya McKissick, devoted son and caregiver Steven (Keekey)McKissick Sr.; Bonus Son: Ricky Jackson; grandchildren: Shanna (Derek) Fudge (Johnson City), Marquieta McKissick, Steven McKissick Jr, Jasmine McKissick, and Al Middlebrook III.; great grandson: Jaylon Fudge and Eqwone Greene; devoted and longtime companion, Matthew Jackson; caring and devoted niece, Jackie Blair; caring and devoted cousin, Jasper “June” Pride and many others too numerous to name.
Anne was a tireless and selfless caregiver. She was a person of faith and lived life serving others through the love of Jesus Christ. She will surely be missed and never forgotten.
Family wishes to give a special thanks to the staff at Holston Health & Rehab for their care and support.
Family will receive friends, 5:30-6:00 p.m., Thursday, September 8, 2022 at St. Paul Baptist Church, 2342 Louise Ave.; funeral service, 6:00 p.m., Rev. Dexter Mims, Officiating.
Interment, 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 9, 2022, New Gray Cemetery.

Mom Anne, what a journey this has been! I’m forever grateful for your love, support, and the many laughs we have shared. Thank you for the many Nuggets of Wisdom that you shared with me. I will miss our talks and miss hearing you say “Keekey, girl let me tell you!” Rest easy & sleep in peace Mom Anne. Job well done! I love you & will miss you dearly. Hug my grandma for me.

Mother McKissick I’m so thankful that Pastor and I were blessed to have you in our lives for the last nine years. You were so kind to us since the moment that we met you. I personally would like to thank you for being so supportive and KIND to me. I always enjoyed our conversations all the way up to the time you were hospitalized. Pastor and I are really going to miss you. You were truly a beautiful Rose 🌹 I’ll continue to keep the roses growing.This was a equally special flower that we both love talking about with each other.🙏🏽❤️🤗😘
