Carolyn Delores Owens Smithers

Carolyn was born October 11, 1947 in Alcoa, Tennessee. She departed her life peacefully at her home May 22, 2021. Born to the late William and Ola Nichols.

Preceded in death, husband, Whitney P. S. Smithers; brothers, Kenneth Henderson, Jerry Henderson, and Rosetta Blair.

Survived by children, Deandre Owens, and Whitney Smithers both of Knoxville, TN, and Rashaun Owens, Atlanta, GA; brothers, Raymond Henderson, Alcoa and Herbert (Dominiga) Henderson, VA, devoted brother, Gregory Henderson, Chattanooga, TN; granddaughter, Kylie Owens, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ada Lindsay, Tamra Richerson and others.

Family will receive friends, 3:00-4:00 p.m., Sunday, May 30, 2021 at House of God, 160 Badgett Street, Alcoa, TN; funeral service, 4:00 p.m., Pastor Paulette Pace, Officiating

Interment, Monday, May 31, 2021, Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
