Claude Lee Glass
Claude Lee Glass was born in Ripley, Tennessee to Edgar and May Frances Glass, November 14, 1952. His life ended unexpectedly, Friday, September 10, 2021 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center.
Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Lucion, William, Jimmie, Odell, Jake, Charles, Edgar Eugene; sisters, Lettie, Shirley, Emma, Frances and Marie.
Graduate of Austin-East High School Class of 1972. He served in the United States Army and was discharged with honors. He was employed at Baptist Hospital, the Department of Interior for many years and later retired from Knoxville Community Development Corporation (KCDC). Claude loved to work on cars and was known as “Your Handyman.”
Claude leaves to cherish his memories: sons, Steven Troy Chaney of OH and Reuben (Andrea) Glass of Memphis, TN; daughters, Princess Glass of Clarksville, TN, and Cassandra (Cassie) Glass and Alexis Kincaid; five grandchildren; sisters, Betty Collins of Calument City IL and Anna Higley; special friends, Marshall Sutton, America Lewis, Ms. Kathy (neighbor) and other relatives and friends.
Family will receive friends, 12:00 p.m.- 12:30 p.m., Monday, September 20, 2021 at Jarnigan & Son Mortuary, funeral service, 12:30 p.m., Leroy Franklin, Officiating.
Interment with Full Military Honors at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 2200 Governor John Sevier Highway.

Sorry to hear of Claude’s passing. I worked with him at the Department of Interior. Claude was a nice person. Praying for the family.

Claude was the best man I’ve ever known. I just can’t believe he’s gone. I still need him.
