Doris Gray Coleman
Doris Gray Coleman, was called to her heavenly home, August 15, 2021; born June 15, 1932, to the union of Fred and Vivian S. Hoard.
Faithful member of Mount Olive Baptist Church, where she enjoyed teaching Sunday School.
Employed for many years at Ball State University and the University of Tennessee.
Upon her retirement, she enjoyed volunteering at the Salvation Army, crocheting, traveling and solving many crossword puzzles.
Preceded in death by parents; sons, Larry, Charles, Gordon and Gene Jr.
Survivors son, Authur Sr.; daughter-in-law, Teresa; grandchildren, Kamesa ‘O’Neal, La’lie Gray-Hinton, Authur Jr., Tiffany, Gordon Jr., Jonathon and Jacques; several great grandchildren, friends and loved ones.
Family will receive friends, 12:30-1:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Mount Olive Baptist Church, funeral service, 1:00 p.m., Rev. Jesse Williams, Officiating.
Interment Mount Olive Cemetery.

Doris was a friend of my mother, several years ago. She lived at Broadway Towers. Doris was visitor to my home and those of my sisters many times. We always ate and had a wonderful time together. Doris was a special lady who will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers with those who loved her. I am so sorry for your loss.
