Estella Middlebrook Powell, passed away March 25, 2021 in New York, NY. The second of two children, born to Mary Frances Middlebrook Jeffries and Willie T. Waters, September 3, 1944 in Memphis, Tennessee.
Knoxville relatives include, brother, Dr. Harold A. (Betty) Middlebrook; nieces, Arlene Middlebrook Bennett, LaKenya Middlebrook; nephew, Harold (Porche) Middlebrook, II; great niece, Danielle Bennett; great great nieces, Kaysia, and Dhelannie McClanahan; great nephews, Harold Middlebrook III; great great nephews, Kayden and Darrion McClanahan.
Funeral services, 2:00 p.m., April 16, 2021 at R.S. Lewis Funeral Home, 2944 Walnut Grove, Memphis, Tennessee.

I am so saddened over this loss. What a lovely genuine lady she was. We shared laughs and conversations on many topics. She was a wonderful respectful colleague that always had a laughter I will miss. May God have mercy on her and grant her eternal rest in peace. My Deepest sympathy and sincere condolences to her family. May God bless you and comfort you during this most difficult time.
My condolences to the family of Ms. Estella Powell. I’m so saddened by her departure. It was too soon to be gone to Heaven but the Lord only knows when was your time. Ms. Powell will be remembered as a lovely human being who always had a shin a beautiful smile and kind words whenever anyone needed. She was a great hard worker who gave it all to her studenwhots w who will miss her dedication an devotion to her teaching career.
