Jimmey Byron Holloway Sr.
With a heavy heart we announce the passing of Jimmey Byron Holloway Sr,73. Jimmey departed this life and transitioned to his Heavenly home at Fort Sanders Medical Center, September 19, 2021. He was born in Knoxville Tennessee, April 19, 1948, to Katie and Luther Holloway and a member of Claiborne Temple A.M.E. Church.
Jimmey was employed at Knox Blount Maintenance.
Preceded in death by grandmothers, Rosie Sinkfield and Dora Holloway; parents, Luther and Katie Holloway; brothers, Riley and Penny Holloway; grandson, Trezelle Holloway, and sisters-in law, Jackie Holloway and Roslyn Fountain.
Survivors, wife, Naomia Fountain Holloway; son, Jimmey Jr.; daughters, Kimberly, Taffany, and Roslyn, brothers; Luther “Kite,” Terry “Pop” (Cheryl), Ernest (She’Lia) Holloway; sisters, Brenda (Howard) Kimber, Joyce (Ronald) Martin, Gloria (Irvin) Hines, Minnie and Sarah, of Florida; devoted aunt, Sophronia Favors; 8 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren; many devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends too numerous to name; Special friends, Lew and Leesa Edwards, Ralph Anderson, Albert Adkins, Mattie Sharpe (porch friend).
Family will receive friends, Thursday, September 30, 2021, 12:00-12:30p at Jarnigan’s Chapel; funeral service,12:30 p.m., Irvin Hines, Eulogist.
Interment Sherwood Memorial Gardens.

My condolences to the family. I enjoyed talking and laughing with Jimmey when he had his Thrift store in Burlington. Not only then, but through the years back in the Ville.
