JUDITH HYATT BALLENGER
Judith Hyatt Ballenger, eldest daughter of John R. Hyatt Sr and Winifred Henri Marcella Hyatt, was born in Knoxville, TN, October 10, 1952. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and remained a member at Lennon Seney United Methodist Church. Judy, as she was affectionately called by her family and friends, was beloved by many and will be forever in our hearts.
Judith departed this life, December 14, 2021, at Renaissance Assisted Living Facility.
She was a graduate of the 1970 Class of Austin East High School. Judy was known for her kind heart, always willing to help someone in need. She loved to cook and would often cater events or volunteer in the community. Everyone knew her by her freshly baked breads and rolls! In her quiet moments, she loved to write poetry and short stories.
Preceded in death by husband, and love of her life, Emmanuel Ballenger, Sr.; parents, John R. Hyatt, Sr., and Winifred Hyatt.
Survived by children, Deborah (Ulysses Nance) Ballenger, Leslie Ballenger-Brown, and Emmanuel Ballenger, Jr.; loving grandchildren, Gabriel Workman, Laina Brown; devoted and loving sister, Joyce R. Hyatt; brothers, Dr. John R. (Deborah) Hyatt, Jr., and Julian R. (Carmilla) Hyatt, and Jerald R. Hyatt; beloved cousin, Gayle Lomax, and a host of other family members and friends.
