LEE ROSS CHANDLER

Lee Ross Chandler went home to be with the Lord, September 15, 2021 after a long season of illness. He was born, July 18, 1934 to the union of the late Joe Ben and Margaret Chandler in Sevier County.

Lee was a member of Boyds Creek Church of God under the leadership of Elder James B. Page and later Bishop Zach Flack. He served on the trustee, usher, and brotherhood boards. He later joined the Maryville Church of God under the leadership of Bishop Dwight Frazier.

He was a retired teamsters truck driver for 30+ years with the combined years with ABF, McLean and TIME DC trucking companies.

Lee was preceded in death by his brothers, Harry, Joe Ben (Mary Katherine), Timothy (Rosa Lee), Charles Edward (Virginia), Mack (Joyce), Austin (Mary); sisters, Mattie Ruth McDermott (Jim), Helen Snapp (Albert), baby sister, Beula Ann, and son, Cedric Penn Sr., of Alabama.

He leaves to mourn his passing, devoted wife of 42 years, Jacqueline L. Chandler; devoted son, Shannon Lee Chandler; devoted daughter, Teresa Ellen (Allen Sr.) Young; nephew-son, Ronald Curtis (Nicole) Chandler Jr.; sisters-in-law, Rev. Betty Chandler (John), Joyce Chandler (Mack), Bobbie J. Hardin, Dora L. Chandler (Ronald), Virginia Chandler (Charles); grandsons, Allen Young Jr., Joshua Young and Cedric Penn Jr. of Alabama; granddaughter, Charity Grace Penn of Alabama; great grandchildren, Johnaven, Joshua, Ramirez, Jaheem, and A’Kyri; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family wishes to thank Trinity Hill Senior Living and the Amedisys Hospice Staff for their love, kindness, and service.

Body may be viewed, 11:00 a.m.- 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at the Chapel.
