LORENZO “LOW” TATE

Knoxville-Lorenzo “Low” Tate 63 of Knoxville departed this life Thursday, February 11, 2021. He was born to Elder J.C Tate and Missionary Leonia Sims Tate.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran and was employed by Knox County School System.

Preceded in death by father, Elder J.C Tate, mother Missionary Leonia Sims Tate; brother, Robert Tate; sisters, Maxine Jones, Elsie Moore and Brenda Tate Martin; great niece and nephews, Quintasia Tate; Early Tate and Robert Tony Tate.

Lorenzo leaves to cherish his memories; loving family, wife Youlanda (Lonnie) Tate, Knoxville, TN; daughter, Dennesha Tate, Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Jamir, Jayden, Jamodd, Ja’sean and Zaka all of Knoxville, TN; sister, Catherine King, Chattanooga, TN; brother, Carter (Josephine)Tate, Atlanta, GA.

Lorenzo also leaves to cherish his memories a host of nieces, nephews and cousins and special friend, Linda “ Susie” Dixson.

Family will receive friends, 3:30- 4:00 p.m. Friday, February 19, 2021 at Jarnigan’s Chapel; funeral service, 4:00 p.m., Rev. Todd Kincaid, Officiating.

Interment 12:00 noon, Monday, February, 22, 2021, 936 Tyson Street, National Cemetery
