Obituary for Nancy Nana C. Littlejohn
Nancy (Nana) L. Colquitt Littlejohn was born to Elder Johnnie L. Colquitt and Essie Mae Colquitt, May 20, 1945 in Opelika, Alabama. Nancy departed this life Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Fort Sanders Regional Hospital.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Jellico, TN and Elm Street Baptist Church, KY. She was raised in the church from an early age. She was in the choir, on the usher board, and attended BTU and Sunday school. She was also a deaconess, Sunday school teacher, church cook, and prayer warrior.
Nancy was a loving and compassionate queen. She lived life to the fullest. She was a surgical technician for 45 years at St. Mary’s Hospital. A devoted wife of 55 years. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother and great grandmother.
Preceded in death by her parents; sister, Essie Mae; nephew, Maurice; sister-in-law, Paula; brothers-in-law, James Harris and Hurbert Littlejohn.
Left to cherish her memories, devoted husband, Gerald; son, Gerald (Linda) Littlejohn Jr.; daughter, Zenda P. Littlejohn; grandson, Gerald L. Littlejohn III; granddaughters, Shayanna and Brinna, grandson, Devean L. Littlejohn; great granddaughter, Armonie Littlejohn; Shelton Kimber whom she like as her son; Sister, Johnnie Mae; brothers, Johnnie Jr., Elder Dr. Joe L. Colquitt, James (Ester) Colquitt; sisters, Lizzie Littlejohn, Rose Ashford; special friends, Connie and Gloria and a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Family will receive friends, 11:00 am-12:00 noon., Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Jarnigan & Son Mortuary 2823 Martin Luther King Jr. Ave.; funeral service, 12:00 noon.
Interment Holly Hills Memorial Park.

I was sorry to hear of Nancy’s passing. I worked with her in the operating room at St Mary’s. She was a fine person to know and work with. Please know my prayers are with her family. I know she will be greatly missed.

I always kidded with her about hanging her head off bed, her hair always looked beautiful.
