Niya Towanda Essie, 42, of Knoxville, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord, September 8, 2021. She was born to Albert Essie and Yvonne Hill, May 1, 1979.
Survivors, mother, Yvonne Hill; stepfather, Courtney Hill, father Albert Essie; Siblings, Maurice, Tangela, Thomas and Carstasha, Vanessa, James and Sahara; step sisters; neices, Nena, Zaria, Ca’Meiah, Tariah, Ceraei; nephews, Dorian “Dj,” Isiah, Jamar, Mikael, Malik; uncles, Dan, Ken, William, Eugene, Maurice; aunts, Melba, Wilamae; great aunt “Doll,” and great uncle, Booker T., a host of cousins and close friends; devoted friend, Shauna.
