Patrice Craig Teasley
Patrice Craig Teasley, passed away, February 25, 2023, at UT Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. She was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, August 1, 1952, to the parents of Christine R. Craig and William A. Craig. She attended Wilberforce University in Ohio where she received a degree in Business Administration. She began her advocacy at Knoxville College in administration, which led her to the Knoxville Urban League where she impacted numerous lives in the Knoxville community.
Patrice retired from the State of Tennessee as the TENNderCare Outreach Coordinator. She was a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Patrice attended St. Paul Baptist Church and enjoyed singing, traveling, shopping, dressing for any fabulous occasion, and spending time with family and friends.
Preceded in death by father, William A. Craig, mother, Christine R. Craig; grandparents, Sam and Sarah Hunter, Frank Craig, Madie Ayers and Albert Rankin; brother, William “Buster” Craig; brother-in-law, Terry Tumlin; niece, Decondra Moore, and nephew, Tyrone Tumlin.
Survived by loving husband, Kenneth Teasley; children, Shilana Gant, William (Monique) Gant, Sr., Courtellyou (Shelia) Gant, Amanda Gant, Kenneth (Lawana) Teasley, Tony (Michelle) Teasley; grandchildren, Coriano Banks, Malcolm Gant, Devontae (Jacorah) Bradley, William Gant, Jr., Gavin Gant, Carter Gant, Gabrielle Gant, Brielle Banks, Shania Gant, Miashia Clark, Lilyana Bradley, Kimara Pruitt, Kaliyah Gant, Taylor Teasley, Landon Teasley, Kenna Teasley, Arisa Spencer, Zion Gant, Cyan Ngakane; sisters, Joan Tumlin and Deborah Craig; sister-in-law, Jamesena Teasley, brother-in-law, James Edward Teasley; nieces and nephews, Terrance and Michael Tumlin, Lisa and Kenneth Craig, Erica Craig, Jimmie (Xavier) Jones, Roy Jones, and a host of many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
Patrice lived a devoted life to God as a Christian and motivated and inspired everyone around her to be the best that they could be in everything that they do, and to keep God first. Memories of her will forever be cherished.
Family will receive friends, 2:00-2:30 p.m., Tuesday at Lennon- Seney United Methodist Church; funeral service, 2:30 p.m., Rev. Dexter Mims, Officiant, Rev. Willie Gallaher, Eulogist.
Interment 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, John Sevier Hwy.
