
Belinda Yvonne James (Moore) was born on January 15, 1956, to her loving parents Edward and Rosa Lee James, both of whom have since passed.
Belinda also known as “Linda” led a very adventurous and carefree life. She worked for Standard Knitting Mill, and worked for Lakeshore Mental Health and everyone who knew her, loved her. She had a nickname at Lakeshore that everyone used to call her which was “Mrs. B”. She worked there until she retired. And even after her retirement she still worked to keep from being bored. She was a very hard worker and instilled that trait into her children. She led a very fulfilling life and was loved and respected by all that knew her. She was a loving & devoted mother, wife, sister and friend.
Linda was preceded in death by her mother Rosa L. James; father Edward W. James Sr.; twin brothers Elvin & Melvin James; brother Willie James; sister Brenda S. James (Cribb); and nephews Edward W. James iii; Kenneth L. James Sr. and Travor Haslerig.
Linda left this world on February 24, 2025 surrounded with love in her hometown of Knoxville TN at the age of 69. She is survived by her loving & devoted husband Howard L. Moore Sr. who was her caregiver: sons; Sherman S. James & Howard L. Moore Jr., stepdaughter; Aisha Moore, sisters; Patricia D. James, Debra A. James (Harshaw), Lisandra L. Tucker; sister in law Gloria Robinson, brothers in law; Peewee & Stuffy Robinson and a wide host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and other relatives and many dear friends. She will be dearly missed and her memories will be forever cherished and remembered by all that knew her.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 4:00pm to 4:30pm at Jarnigan & Son Chapel, located at 2823 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37914 with a service to follow.
