Derick Stinson

Derick “Duke” Stinson departed this life on January 25, 2025.

He was greeted by his daughter Jaquera Stinson; father, Rusty Smith Sr.; brothers, Rusty Smith Jr., Bill Smith; aunts, Wilma King, Reta Mathis; uncles, Bruce Stinson, Donald Stinson, Rudy Stinson Sr., William “Pops” Mathis, Butch Smith; grandparents, Alice Nunnally, Arthur Mckissick, Cleo Herrington, Betty Mathis.

Memories will forever be cherished by mother Judy Stinson; daughters, Kierra, Jocelyn (Ivan), Dayshyra, Tamira, Deidra; sons, Maurice, Derick Jr., Jamel, DeAris, Jajuan, Kavian, Derion; sisters, Tina, Kim, Tramaika; brothers, Eric, Zack; Special companion, Angelic Coclough; a host of grandchildren, a large extended family, and numerous lifelong friends within the Lonsdale community.

Monday, February 3, 2025 family will receive friends from 11:00am to 12:00pm at New Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 1933 Texas Ave, Knoxville, TN, 37921. A Celebration of Life will follow. Pastor Steve Simpson, eulogist. Interment at New Gray Cemetery, 2724 Western Avenue, Knoxville, TN.
