James Hodges, Jr.

Sunrise- April 7,1947 Sunset-March 12,2025. James received his wings on March 12, 2025 surrounded by his wife and family. James was born in Knoxville, TN to James and Jewel Hodges who preceded him in death.He was educated in Knoxville Public Schools. James would later move to Detroit,MI with his sister.

James was also preceded in death by his sister, Gwendolyn Robinson and brothers Fredrick Hodges, Varnell, Juan and Michael Benn. James worked as a pressure in the dry-cleaning business until his health failed. James received Jesus Christ at an early age and through his life enjoyed going to church and was active in his church.

James was married by his father in Maryville, TN to Donna Davis Hodges. James was godfather to his nieces & nephews and had a special attachment to Kendra, who he lovingly called “Tank”. James was very devoted to his granddaughter “Juicy”, spending many hours with

her daily.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Donna and Knoxville family to include mother, Mary Hodges, siblings; Calvin and Dwayne Benn, Valarie McAliley. Aunts: Florence Robinson, Gracie Cooper and Helen Hodges. Many cousins to include the Hodges and Revels family.

Homegoing celebration will be Saturday March 22,2025 in Detroit, MI. McFall
