John Wesley Jowers, III born, August 20, 1980 to John and Bessie Martin Jowers in Knoxville, Tennessee. On August 7, 2023 he transitioned from earthly to eternal life.

Wesley was educated in Knox County schools and graduated from Bearden High School in 1999. He worked over 20 years in various fast-food restaurants, and was employed by Kentucky Fried Chicken for the last 7 years.

Wesley was deceased by grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Elijah and Dorothy Martin, and Mr. & Mrs. John and Alice Jowers, Sr.; aunt, Dorothy M. McDaniel; cousin, Stephanie Q. Williams.

To cherish his memory, Wesley leaves his parents; sister and brother-in-law, Bethany Jowers Moore and William Moore; brother, Byron Martin Jowers; nephew Noah Moore; great-aunts, Mrs. Bessie M. Gregg, Mrs. Hattie R. Brice, Ms. Constance R. Booker, Mrs. Carrie E. R. Grady; aunts, Mrs. Joyce M. Norris (Johnny), Ms. Lucy A. Martin, Mrs. Portia M. Quiller; uncles, Keith A. Jowers (Glennett), and Mr. Moses McDaniel; godparents, Mr. & Mrs. Michael Huie, Sr.; numerous cousins and innumerable friends. Wesley’s closest friends included, Jeremy Barnette, Charles Price, Antonio Wynn, Chris Wynn, and Mouth.

Public viewing, Friday, August 11, 2023, 12:00 noon till 6:00 p.m. at Jarnigan & Son Mortuary.

Family will receive friends, Saturday, August 12, 2023, 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. The Celebration of Life Service 1:00 p.m., Pastor Derick Wakefield, officiating at Freedom Fellowship Christian Church, 4027 Papermill Drive, Knoxville TN.

Interment, Edgewood Cemetery, 229 South Gallaher View Road, Knoxville TN.
