
Larry E. Davis was born July 8, 1954 in Knoxville, TN. He passed away peacefully in his home on March 15, 2025. Larry was the son of Ora Davis. He served his country in the United States Air Force. He was reliable, dependable, and passionate about the well-being of his family and those he loved. Always supportive. His life experience by having gratitude and appreciation by serving and helping others.Â
He was known for his extensive knowledge of modern technology, various electronic devices, and for his exquisite taste for appetite satisfaction. He had an infectious smile that exudes the joy and love that he possessed. He loved to have a great time. There were times when he could crack his own self up. His scholar mentality helped to encourage others with their academic journey. We watched him persevere and become resilient during challenging times of life. It was his instilled understanding and valve of faith in God that continued to motivate him in life. One thing that he always liked to do was take a cruise, but now he will be forever cruising with Christ for eternal life.
Larry is preceded in death by his son, Lacey Davis; mother, Ora Lee Davis; grandmother, Mary Bell; and siblings, Josiah, Jewel, and Curtis.
He is survived by his dons, Darrel and Tyler (Sarah) Davis; siblings, Charles Davis Sr., Mary Ann Davis, and Ruby (Ruby) Warner, and a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews and other family and friends.
Family will receive friends Friday March 28, 2025 from 11 to 11:30 at Jarnigan & Son Mortuary, 2823 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue Knoxville, TN 37914 with funeral services to follow. Interment at Knoxville National Cemetery, 939 Tyson St, Knoxville, TN 37917.Â
