Leroy Stewart Jr.

Leroy Stewart Jr born on February 20, 1952 to Mr. & Mrs. Leroy and Emma Stewart Sr in Knoxville, Tennessee. After his untimely illness, he passed on February 23, 2025. 

Proceeded in death by his parents Mr & Mrs. Leroy Stewart, Sr. And his grandson Tony Jones, Jr. He graduated from Fulton High School in 1970. He went on to work for KCDC for over 40 years. He loved playing in the band Soul Liberation. In his earlier day he loved playing softball. He was a member of New Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. 

He leaves his life partner of 40 plus years Thelma Black. Children: Sonya Whetstone (Knoxville, Tennessee) and Teresa Higgins (Maryland). Grand children: LaQuisha Cofer, LaNitra Higgins. Host of cousins, and family and friends too many to name. Special thanks to Diversicare Nursing Home and Fresenius Kidney Care of Fort Sanders.

The family will receive friends at New Friendship Missionary Baptist on March 15, 2025 from 11:00am to 12:00pm with a service to follow.
