Lewis Sonny Thompson III

Lewis Sonny Thompson III, aka “Brother” was born February 10,1962 in Knoxville Tennessee, to Lewis Sonny Thompson Jr., and Aslee. He passed away on March 6, 2023, at Fort Sanders Hospital, Knoxville Tennessee, at the age of 61. He was a graduate of Fulton High School, class of 1980.

Preceded in death by parents Lewis “Sonny” and Aslee Thompson.

He leaves to cherish in his memory: children, Ashanti (Keith) Soles, Knoxville, TN, Lewis Thompson, IV, Knoxville, TN, Brittany Thompson, Knoxville, TN, Maicaiela “Ela” Ash Thompson Knoxville, TN.; sisters, Monisa (Herbert) Mayes, Birmingham Alabama, Karen Williams, Atlanta, GA; five grandchildren several nieces and nephews; Special friends to include Gilda “Faye” Brazelton, and Vonda Mason.

Family will receive friends 12:30- 1:00p.m., Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Jarnigan’s Chapel; funeral service, 1:00 p.m., Pastor Dock Stewart, Officiating. Interment, Mount Olive Cemetery.
