Marie Annette Bradley Davis


Marie Annette Bradley Davis (82), Knoxville, TN, passed away peacefully surrounded by love, Thursday, June 13, 2024, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center.


She was born August 22, 1941, to Leroy Bradley and Geneva (Henderson) Bradley. Marie graduated from Austin High School in 1959. She went to study at Knoxville College and earned her Cosmetology License from Bertha’s Beauty School. She was a young Entrepreneur, that owned and operated Ebonaire Hair Fashions in the Mechanicsville area; she was passionate about uplifting women and creating beauty. She would later take the role of being a Certified Nursing Assistant, serving as a caregiver; dedicated to helping people and being a servant in her community, she was a loyal daughter, wife, mother, granny, and friend. She was a devoted member of Clinton Chapel AME Zion Church. She enjoyed serving the Lord, singing in the choir, a life member of the missionary board, and the Betty Allenye club.


Preceded by parents, Leroy Geneva Bradley, stepchildren, James and Keith Davis.


Survived by devoted husband, of 51 years, John “Jake” Davis,” sons, Vincent (Heather) Davis, Nashville, TN and Vernon (Niki) Davis, Corryton, TN; stepchildren, Cynthia (Davis) Howard, Nashville, TN, Kenneth (Pam) Davis, Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Maya Davis, Ma’Kenzie (Quinton) Davis, Jason Mobley, Steel Davis, Roman Davis, Sasha Davis, Brittni Austin, Bryce Howard, John Davis, James Davis Jr, Kennyse Davis, Kenneth Davis Jr, Kaleb Davis, Cameron Davis and Kalyn Davis; devoted friend, LaMonte Bishop, a host of great-grandchildren and many special friends and extended family.


Family will receive friends Friday, June 21, 2024; 12:00 - 1:00 pm; Funeral Service, 1:00 pm at Clinton Chapel AME Zion Church, 546 College Street, Rev. John Butler, Officiating.


Interment, Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
