Marshall Lewis Stover

Marshall Lewis Stover departed this life on Monday, September 23, 2024 at NHC Healthcare Fort Sanders.


Marshall was affectionally remembered as “Popsicle, Pops”, “June”, and “Uncle June”. He was God fearing and loved reading his bible. He had an agape love for his family and was always willing to give a helping hand.


He retired from Teledyne as a Steel Worker in Laporte, Indiana. He was an avid fisherman and loved being on the Tennessee river and the beach in Michigan City, Indiana. He also loved cooking and was a chef in the kitchen. Anyone who came in contact with Marshall loved him, and he loved them back — especially the ladies!


Marshall is preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Elsie Sanders Stover; significant other, Lori Carter; sister, Wilma “Baby Sister” McBee; ex-wife and mother of his children, Martha Mack; son, Marshall L. Mack; grandson, Marshall Mack Jr.; and best friend, Abraham Dudley Sr.


He leaves to cherish his memories wife, Velma Bonds-Stover of Mississippi; sons, Anthony (Sandy) Mack of Cincinnati, Ohio and Alton (Mauya) Stover of Indianapolis, Indiana; stepson, Randy (Rhonda) Bonds of Michigan City; stepdaughter, Lisa Jackson of Mississippi; grandchildren, Maya Stover of Indianapolis and Anthony Mack Jr. of Louisville, Kentucky; great-grandson-to-be, Antwuan Daniels Jr.; special nieces and nephews: Mike (Rhyesa) Stover, Abraham (Kayla) Dudley, Lakeisha (Sherron) Johnson, Katrina Williams, Sonja Dudley, Abraham (Ka’niya) Dudley Jr., Mike Stover Jr., Skylar, Shawnda, Mikayla, Amya, Kimber, Tyson, Denecia, Olivia, Onyx, Kaityn, Genevieve, Leah, Jimanisha, Raine, Rhythm, Jordan and Ja’mir; special cousin, James (Johnnie) Townsend; and a host of other family and friends.


Family will receive friends Saturday, October 19, 2024 from 10:30am to 11:00am at Jarnigan & Son Mortuary, 2823 Martin Luther King Jr. Ave, Knoxville, TN 37914, with celebration of life services to follow.
