Martha Brown

Martha Jane Brown of Knoxville TN departed this world to be with her Lord and Savior March 28, 2029. She was born April 24, 1939 to the late Velma Ward and John H. Fleming. 

Preceded in death by parents, special aunt (mother who raised her), Annie Laura Ward; children, George Hill, Roberta Scott, and Melvin Tucker; siblings, Willie Bessie Houston, JoeAnn Turner (Fleming), Nathaniel Askew and Melvin Ward.

She is survived by children, Masako Truitt, Scottie Davidson and Dwayne Hill; siblings, Jean Marie Martin (Fleming), Francis (Butch) Askew, Glenn Ward; 21 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren and 17 great great-grandchildren to include grandchildren and great-grandchildren she raised as her own, Kiyona “Kee-Kee” Brown, Antwone Brown, DeMica “Meecy” Munsey, Antnasia “Twatta Butt” Watson, and Jamon “Bubba” Siler, and many other family and friends to include special friends, Barbara (Slick) Peak, Betty Martin, Dorothy S. (Dot), Linda Colquitt, Virginia Dixon, and The Green Hills Community.

Family will receive friend Monday April 7, 2025 from 11 to 12pm at Jarnigan & Son Mortuary, 2823 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue Knoxville, TN 37914, with funeral service to follow. Rev.
