Patrick Ranae Varnado of Gary, Indiana was called home December 28, 2024 in Knoxville, TN. He was a long-time member of New Hope Baptist Church in Gary, Indiana.
Patrick was an '85 graduate of William A. Wirt High School.
Patrick received a degree with an Associate in Arts from Ball State University and also achieved the status of the dean's list. He successfully completed peer Recovery Mentor training and successfully completed facilitated "The Streets Don't Love You Back" program.
Patrick is preceded in deaith by his father, George A. Varnado; grandmothers, WIlka Jefferson and Anna Mae Varnado; grandfathers, Otis Varnado and Harold T. Magee; and uncle, James Julius Magee.
Patrick is survived by his mother, Laura E. Varnado; sisters Jacqueline and brother David Varnado: Newphews, D'Brian Varnado, Quittman Varnado and Joseph Magee; aunts, Patricia Church, San Pablo, CA, Shirley MCCary, Huntsville, AL, Janice Wagner, Magnolia, MS and a host of other great nieces, nephews family and friends.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 7, 2024 at "The Chapel" at Jarnigan & Son Mortuary from 12noon until 1:00pm with the funeral to follow at 1:00pm.
