Rev. Wilbur C. Alston

Reverend Wilbur Craig Alston departed this life March 29, 2025 in Knoxville, TN He was  born in Mobile, Alabama, to the late Louvernia Alston and Lizzie Pope Alston. 

He is preceded in death by father, Louvernia Alston; son, Corey Blanks; and grandson, Tre’ Lloyd Blanks.

He leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Evone Blanks-Alston; children, Damita Kaloostian (Roderick) of Phoenix AZ, Le’Tia Alston of Long Beach, CA and Taman Blanks of Anchorage, AK; mother, Lizzie Pope Alston of St Paul, MN; brothers, Jesse Alston of Dayton, OH, Roy Alston (Mary) of Columbia, SC and Cecil Alston (Norah) of St Paul, MN; sister, Wanda L. Alston Webb of Dayton, OH; grandchildren, Aliyah Kaloostian, Alayla Blanks, Andre Blanks, Bralyn Goslin, Marquece Blanks, and Isaiah Blanks; great-grandson, Amir Blanks; adopted daughter-In-law - April Clark of Roanoke, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends from a village in Alaska and many other places the Lord has allowed us to meet and fellowship with other saints. 

The family will receive friends Saturday April 12, 2025 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 1601 Dandridge Ave, Knoxville, TN 37915 from 2 to 3pm, with funeral services to follow. Rev. Jesse L. Williams, Pastor. Reverend Janice Crawford Officiating.
