Richard Lewis Valentine Jr. was born on April 27, 1963, to Richard Lewis Valentine Sr. and Julia Lenora Valentine. On March 10, 2025, he departed this earthly world, but his spirit and legacy will live on through the countless memories he created with those who loved him.
Richard was a proud Army veteran and Iraqi War hero, earning numerous accolades and awards for his dedicated service to his country. His commitment to excellence extended beyond the military, as he graduated summa cum laude from National College—an achievement he held with immense pride.
Richard had a deep love for his children, his loyal dogs, and the joy of bringing laughter to others. Whether he was sharing a joke to lift someone’s spirits, passionately debating that Michael Jordan is better than LeBron James, or enjoying music and movies, his presence was one of warmth and light. He also cherished watching old VHS tapes of basketball games he recorded, finding joy in reliving the moments he loved most.
Richard is survived by his children:
Richard Valentine III and Rachel Valentine-Webb (Iceland Webb), along with their mother, Susan Willis,
Reginald Valentine (Alexis Bryant) and Ryan Valentine (Julie Valentine), along with their mother, Barbara Taylor.
His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Reagan Valentine, Raiden Valentine, Izrayel Webb, Jordan Webb, and Miles Valentine.
He is also survived by his loving siblings: Eric Valentine, Ingrid Valentine, and Michelle Valentine.
Richard will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him. His humor, kindness, and unwavering love for his family and friends will never be forgotten.
