Sheila Diane Smith, born July 2, 1955 — was born to Mary R. Smith and John W. Andrews. She departed this life in a restful sleep at her residence on October 30, 2024.
Sheila was a lifelong resident of the Lonsdale community. Sheila retired from Krispy Kreme in Knoxville, Tennessee, a loving aunt, sister, and good friend. She could be seen working in her yard with her flowers, which she was passionate about. Sheila was a member of Open Door Church where she enjoyed Bible study nights. She is well loved and missed dearly.
Sheila is preceded in death by her loving parents, Mary R. and John W. Andrews and a host of aunts and uncles. She leaves to cherish her memories, siblings: Lorraine and Clyde Myze, Charles E. and Sherry Smith, James A. and former wife, Deanna Smith, and sister, Ruth Woods — as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Devoted cousins include Theresa Smith (Raymond), Ricky Smith, James 'Woody' Bryson, Pastor Steve Simpson and family. Close friends to mention are Geegee Sloan, Cissy Chapman, and Willie Frank Louis.
Family will receive friends Thursday, November 7, 2024 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at Open Door Church, 2806 Sherman St, Knoxville, TN 37921, with funeral services to follow. Reverend Steve Simpson officiating.
Interment at Mt. Olive Cemetery.
Final arrangements entrusted to Jarnigan & Son Mortuary.
