T'Naesia Thomas

T’Naesia “Naenae” Thomas, born May 1, 2003 in Knoxville, TN passed away Thursday March 27, 2025.

To have known Naenae was to love her. Her presence was known to light up the room with joy. She was a dear friend that even in your worse times she could provide words of wisdom that would brighten up your day.

She had a laugh that was infectious. Naenae was a humble person that showed love to everyone that she came in contact with. She always tried her best to make sure that everyone had a smile on their face. Naenae enjoyed spending time with her two nieces, Abrie and Anna, whom she continuously showered with deep and unwavering love. She will truly be missed by all that knew her.

She was called home to be with her mother, Sankinna Merchant; boyfriend, CJ Harris; uncle, John Merchant; and aunt Etholia Ann Bradson. T’Naesia will be missed by her loving family, grandmothers, Sharon Anderson and Kathy Welcome; stepmother, Sparkle Edward; stepfather, Lavon Edwards; brother, Dvonte Thomas, sisters, Danielle Montgomery and Moniya Thomas; Aunt and Uncle;Zackary (Vicki) Merchant, Aunt; Katrina Brabson, nieces Annastayiea Thomas Smith, Abriella Thomas Smith and many other friends and family to include devoted friends Nae Chanel and Taniya.

The family will receive friends from 11:00am to 12:00pm on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Jarnigan and Son Chapel, located at 2823 Martin Luther King Jr Dr, Knoxville, TN 37914 with a service to immediately follow. Rev. Dexter Jordan Officiating.
