To the Weaver Family, Relatives and Friends:
My wife and I met Joe in the late ‘70s. Joe and I were co-workers at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) where we shared many work related tasks, functions and professional inter-personal relationships. Over the years he became a close, charming, energetic and caring friend. We were touched by his work as community activist, by his interest in ministry; by his support for community sports; and by his service as mentor for youths. We are surprised and saddened to learn of his passing. May fond memories of him bring you joy and comfort.

It was an awesome experience to share our combat deployment during Operation Desert Storm / Desert Shield. Joe will be deeply missed. May the Almighty Lord bring you peace, acceptance, and comfort during this trying time. RIP LTC Joe Weaver!
To Phyllis and the Weaver family:
My sincerest condolences to you and your family. Joe was a friend and co-worker who cared so much about others. May God’s peace abide with you, knowing that He loves you and will take care of you! Blessings to you all!
I served with Joe during Desert Storm when we were both part of the 489th Civil Affairs Co. At the time, he was Capt. Weaver to me, and I was. 2LT. He took me under his wing and taught me to lift weights. It’s the only time in my life that I made noticeable progress with building upper body strength. I recognized that he was an exceptional man. His leadership has been an important influence on my life. I regret the loss. We will miss him.
Joe and I shared my field size thru the year Bible while on exercises at Fort Campbell. He liked to give me a hard time while doing our two mile runs as I have never been a runner. However, as we did our qualifying before Desert Storm I actually beat him for the first time. Sorry for the family and dear friends loss. My heart is sad as I truly enjoyed our teasing each other.
To The Weaver Family:
May the Love, Grace, and Mercy of GOD be with You during this time of sorrow.
Lift up your eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh our help. All, of our help comes
from the LORD, which made Heaven and Earth.
The Knaff, Wells, and Timmons Family

Joe was a dental patient of mine for many years and brought his great smile and pleasant fun-loving attitude every time he came to the office. He would always speak so highly of his daughter and wife who were the loves of his life. We also always talked about his officiating jobs especially when it involved a few games when I was coaching middle school basketball 15-20 years ago. I will definitely miss seeing Joe regularly! I’m truly sorry for your loss and know he will be up in heaven with his creator. God bless!
Our deepest condolences to the family of Mr. Weaver. He will be sadly missed at the courthouse. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
