You all are in my thoughts and prayers. may God grant you peace during this time.
God blessed me when he made sure my path crossed with Shirley’s! I had the privilege of being her friend at work for many years and she was a strong, remarkable, graceful, and beautiful lady. She made this world a better place. Shirley and I had lots of laughs but we also had lots of serious conversations and I learned so much from her. She was quick to forgive and shared with me some of the hardships she encountered growing up and then her sadness when she lost her grandson. Her love for her family was unbounded. I felt like I knew them! Her love for her friends also shined through. I’m honored to have been one of them and when may day comes I hope Shirley is one of the first to greet me! To the family – I’m so sorry. I can’t imagine what an empty place this leaves in your hearts. Please know she made such a difference to so many! I can’t be there tomorrow but I thank you all for sharing Shirley with us and I’ll pray for all of you!
Praying for the comfort and peace for your family that our Heavenly Father can give. There are few things in life that are as difficult as the loss of a mother. Cookie, your mom told me she sang to you while she was carrying you. What a wonderful blessing!! Few in this world have the wonderful voice HE blessed you with. I was blessed to have neighbors like you and Stanley; you were like my children. MAY GOD BLESS AND KEEP YOU IN HIS CARE!! Beverly Yvette Atkins
I was so sorry to hear about Gran Gran. She was a beautiful soul inside and out. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. I pray God will hold all her loved ones close and comfort them during this time of sadness. See you on the other side, Gran Gran.
May you feel the warmth of God’s love, giving you strength and peace in this time of great loss. Love to you and family.Mattie
