Obituary for Veronica Michelle Ragland

Veronica Michelle Ragland, 54, of Knoxville, TN, transitioned to be with the Lord on May 23, 2023 surrounded by loved ones at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center.

Veronica was born December 1, 1968. She was the life of the party everywhere she went. She had a heart of gold and would do anything for her loved ones. Her vibrant personality was magnetic to everyone who crossed her path.

Veronica is preceded in death by her mother Ida Mae Ragland, father Rufus McMillan, sister Felicia Ragland, sister Keisha Collins, and her brother Rufus Nance.

Veronica is survived by her children Rufus Ragland, Delicia Ragland, Richard Ragland, Pressious Pearson, Miracle Ragland, and Dexter Ragland; her sisters Yolanda (Stephen) Cheatham and Tracy Cook; her grandchildren Rufus Jr and Mahani; her aunts Helen Wimbley, Pat Ragland; her uncles Pumpkin Simpson and Richard Lee (Mattie) Ragland Sr.; her nieces Tarlanda Yarbrough and RiChara Jones; her nephews William Ragland, Roy Ragland, Cameron Cook, and Michael Cook; as well as, a host of other nieces, nephews, and family.

Celebration of life will be held at Martin Chapel United Methodist Church (1746 Ohio Ave. Knoxville, TN 37921) on June 10. We will began to receive family and friends at 3pm followed by a 4pm service.
